An Introduction
Holy crap... is this live??
Ok cool, I guess it is.
But wait, is anyone reading this?
No. Probably not.
But that's not too important. Somewhere, someday, somebody will choose to read this sad excuse for a blog. I feel sorry for them just thinking about it
And if you're reading this, that somebody is you. and it really does humble me to think that a random person would even read just a few sentences worth of what I've typed... so, for that, I would like to genuinely say thank you.
I do have some bad news though, and that's what I want to talk about in this post.
This “bad news” isn't necessarily bad for everyone, but it may be disappointing for the few readers interested in a traditionally personal personal blog. At the end of the day, this is a blog that will be personal in nature, but not personal in detail.
My goal with this writing endeavor is as follows: to share my life experiences as an undergrad professional writing major— the good, the bad, and the stupid— all while remaining virtually anonymous.
Will you ever learn my true name? Probably. That's a hard one to avoid. As a matter of fact, I'll go ahead and tell you: my name is Liam.
But although this blog will serve as a dumping ground for memories, stories, and relatable grievances, it will not serve as a memoir. (Sound hypocritical? Bear with me, I'm trying.) Instead, it will serve more as a collective— and as a commentary on things that generally interest me within my academic life and field of education.
“Education” and “academics” can be a bit boring, though, and the last thing I want to do is publish blog posts that are akin to scholarly papers. Things will always be lighthearted around these parts... and never too lengthy, either.
Speaking of word count, it's about time I wrap things up. Hopefully this post will serve as a brief but effective prediction of things to come, and I really hope you stick around to see things through... whoever you may be!
